You Don’t Have to Walk This Alone

Life can bring seasons of grief, trauma, illness, loss, burnout, and unexpected change. Sometimes we need more than encouragement. Sometimes we need community, professional support, or simply a place where we can feel understood.

The organisations and communities below are resources I trust and, in some cases, places that have touched my own journey. I hope that if you need support, you might find something here that helps you take your next gentle step forward.

Healing and Recovery

The Buttery – Bangalow, NSW

For more than fifty years, The Buttery has provided compassionate support for people and families affected by mental health challenges, addiction, and trauma. Their programs are grounded in connection, dignity, and hope.

The Health Lodge – Byron Bay

The Health Lodge offers a holistic approach to wellbeing, supporting people experiencing stress, burnout, anxiety, and health challenges through integrative care.

Hoffman Process

The Hoffman Process is an intensive retreat experience designed to help people understand patterns from the past and develop greater self-awareness, emotional healing, and personal growth.

Support for Families and Loved Ones

Al-Anon Family Groups

Al-Anon offers understanding and support for anyone whose life has been affected by someone else’s drinking. You are not alone, and you don’t have to carry the burden in silence.

Grief Support

Grief has many faces, and every loss is deeply personal. Support groups, counselling, and compassionate communities can provide understanding during difficult seasons.

Mental Health Support

Beyond Blue

Beyond Blue provides information and support for anxiety, depression, and emotional well-being.

Lifeline Australia

Lifeline offers 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

Suicide Call Back Service

Professional counselling and support for people affected by suicide or emotional distress.

Trauma Recovery

Healing from trauma is not about forgetting the past. It is about learning how to live with greater safety, self-compassion, and hope.

Support may include:

  • Trauma-informed counselling
  • Somatic therapies
  • EMDR therapy
  • Support groups
  • Mind-body practices
  • Safe and supportive community

Living with Chronic Illness

Living with chronic illness can feel isolating. Support from health professionals, peer communities, and trusted organisations can help us navigate the challenges while creating lives that are still meaningful and rich with purpose.

A Gentle Reminder

Reaching out for support is not a weakness. It is courage.

You do not have to have everything figured out before asking for help.

And you do not have to walk alone.
